Several ASB students along with ASB Advisor Ms. Nelson attended the California Association of Student Leaders Conference during Spring Break. The students participated in a range of leadership and team building activities. Several ASB groups from surrounding schools attended as well. Ms. Nelson and the students wanted an opportunity to grow in their leadership, creativity, and to find ways to increase student engagement. Dr. Canal supported the efforts and stated, "I think finding ways to build the leadership of our student leaders is crucial for the good of the school. Ms. Nelson and her team have made this an exciting year and continue to learn ways to get more students involved." Ms. Nelson shared that the students have returned excited and ready to try some of the new ideas they learned.
