Welcome To Mr. Maldonado's Classroom!

Hello and welcome!

I am Mr. Maldonado and I am a mathematics teacher at Nogales High School since 2015. This year, I am happy to be teaching Geometry and Freshman Advisory. I am a graduate from Cal Poly Pomona (2014) with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics and completed the Teaching Credential Program as well at Cal Poly.

As a math teacher, I strongly believe in the idea of "learn by doing" because I believe students learn better in that aspect. I also try to connect a lot of the math taught in the classroom to real world applications of the 21st century........which allows me to answer the common question of "Why do we need to learn this?" I also like to tie some of the lessons to fields that the students may pursue or become interested in later on in their lives.

On my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, going to the beach, Disneyland, aerial filming and photography using my professional drone, and ultimately traveling. My favorite places to visit are Seattle, Chicago, New York City, and Washington D.C.
