Mr. Rosilez's Biography

Hello, My name is Victor Rosilez and I will be your child's Geometry or Algebra II instructor for the 2022-2023 school year. As we commence our journey, I would like to share with you a little bit about myself. I was brought up locally and attended Los Altos High School ('87) in Hacienda Heights. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Geography (Regional Planning) from UCLA in 1993, my teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles, and my Master's Degree in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois in 2006. I have been a member of the Rowland Unified School District since 1990. I served as an instructional assistant at Rorimer Elementary School during the 1990-91 school year and then spent the next five and a half years working as an instructional assistant, ESL instructor, and GED instructor for the RUSD Adult School. In the fall of '96 I decided to transfer over to Nogales High School, where I have been instructing math students of all levels ever since. While at Nogales, I have been heavily involved not just teaching, but as a club advisor, ARE site representative, ARE Treasurer, and as a coach. I coached football for 15 years and have been the Varsity Badminton Head Coach since 1999. I welcome any comments or suggestions you may have that will benefit you during the course of the school year. Educating a child takes a community approach, and I hope to get the chance to know all of you as the year progresses.
