Mr. Manso

Hello Students and Parents,

I would like to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year at the beautiful Nogales High School.  I am entering my fourth year at NHS and I am looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of you. I have taught all levels of math from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BS in Business Management and MA in Secondary Education, obtained my Business credential from Cal State Fresno and currently attending Hope International University for an Admin. credential.
Prior to becoming a teacher I worked as a manager and consultant in the retail, fast food and other service industries. My teaching philosophy is to get students to understand the "WHY" by making connections to prior learning and to the real world. My goal is to prepare students to be successful after they leave high school by teaching them responsibility and organizational skills by focusing on Collaboration, Communication, Critical and Creative Thinking.
On my free time(like I know what that is), I like to go to the gym, catch up with the Dodgers and Lakers.
Looking forward to meeting all of you. Please contact me with any questions.
Mr. Manso
