a memory study, rats were randomly assigned to one of three groups. In group 1,
the rats were injected with the drug scopolamine, which is known to block
acetylcholine (Ach) on the post synaptic neurons. In group 2, the rats were
injected with physostigmine, a drug that increases the amount of acetylcholine
(Ach). In group 3, the rats received no injection. All of the rats were put
through a maze.
