Welcome to the Nogales High School website! My name is Yousef Nasouf and I’m excited to serve the students, parents, staff and the community of Nogales High School. At Nogales High School, we are committed to providing all students with a well rounded educational experience. All Nobles will receive a 21st century curriculum with highly effective instructional strategies, a safe campus with a variety of activities, athletic programs, social support and interventions, and many opportunities for awards and recognition. We want every student to succeed at Nogales High School and to graduate prepared for a successful future. Our goal is to begin the process of getting students ready for college or a career.

 

At Nogales High School, we work extremely hard at providing all students with a comprehensive curriculum and instructional strategies. Our teachers meet every week on a late start day to discuss curriculum, instruction, data, assessments and different interventions to meet the needs of all students. Teachers also receive excellent professional development opportunities to meet the various needs of our students. Nogales High Schools also offers a variety of courses to ensure that every student is exposed to many different opportunities. We offer college prep, honors level, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and career technical education (CTE) courses to challenge students to excel and grow deeper in their learning. We also offer a wide range of elective courses and programs.

 

While we value the curriculum and instructional components at Nogales High School, we also place a heavy emphasis on social needs and interventions. We have five counselors who support our students socially and academically. The counselors also provide various presentations and parent events focusing on high school success, college preparation, and career planning. When students struggle with homework and mastering concepts, we offer an after school tutoring program to assist them meet grade level standards. Finally, our Nogales Success Academy, which includes the SERVE program, was established to support all of our students and guides them towards a successful future.

 

Parents and community support is a critical component to Nogales High School’s success. We value the support and involvement of all parents and community members. We would like to encourage you to stay involved in your child’s education. Parents and community members can get involved in the school site council, Title I meetings, PTA, and our monthly coffee with the principal meetings. We also have a parent center in G-6 and a community liaison who works tirelessly to welcome our parents and offer any assistance. Please stop by and visit us at any time.
