French 1 covers the basic elements of all four aspects of foreign language learning: reading, writing, speaking and understanding. The course covers enough material to allow the student to read and speak about common everyday topics. Emphasis is placed on oral work. The course includes an introduction to the culture of France. The francophone world is also introduced. This course can be used for partial fulfillment of the University of California college entrance requirement.
In order to be sharp for the upcoming Mid Term Exam, students should go to www.classzone.com and work on the unit quizzes for Unité 1.

Google the cities you selected yesterday. Find out how much information is "out there" about each city. Rank them in order of preference. Remember, even if you like what you see, you need lots of information to make a good report.
HINT: Some cities have their own web sites. This makes your research much easier. They will send you "stuff" for free!
