Read the Article & respond to these questions:
1.  Explain why they ran away.
2.  What was their plan & how were they caught?
3.  What was a red flag for the parents about their children's relationship being "too serious" 
4.  What would you have done if you were Braxton or Jayden and your parents were sending you to different schools to keep you apart?
5.  Do you think the teens could have successfully survived & lived "happily ever after"?  Why?  Why not?

Directions: pick 3 popular idioms. Research their origin. In a 5 sentence paragraph, state the idiom, explain the origin of the idiom and how we use it today. You will write a paragraph for each idiom.

Part 2: Haikus

You will write 3 Haikus explaining conflict for any of the characters we've met this year. It can be from any short story or novel that we have read. For example, you can write a Haiku on Lennie killing Curley's Wife, or Eckels stepping on the butterfly. Just be sure to follow the Haiku rules. You will write 3 Haikus.

DUE: TUESDAY, MAY 31st, assignment will not be accepted after the 31st.
