Applied Algebra & Geometry is a one year course that will allow students to be promoted to either Geometry or Algebra II next year. The Math Department recommends that a student maintain a minimum grade of 75% in order to be placed at the next level. Please encourage your student to keep up with his/her assignments and get help when needed.
The course covers a wide range of topics including: Rational and Irrational Numbers, Linear and Quadratic Equations, Graphing Relations and Functions, Solving Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalties, Quadratic and Exponential Functions, Monomials and Polynomials, and Rational/Radical Expressions and Equations, Logical Reasoning, Proofs in Algebra and Geometry, and Plane Geometry.
