After your group has presented their findings on the UC vs. CSU, write a one-page reflection based on the following questions:

 

- What was the most interesting thing you learned in your research?

- How do you feel about your presenting skills after this presentation?

- What was the difference between your first two presentations and this one?

- What area did you improve/grow the most?

- What area do you want to/need to improve upon for your next presentation?

Your final poster project is due FRIDAY.  If you are absent any day this week, you need to contact your team members to make sure you do your part in the project.  Each person will be graded individually, therefore you need to make sure you:

 

1.  Have helped in the research of the project

2.  Have helped in the creation of the presentation board

3.  Have participated well in the presentation

 

If you do not meet all expectations, your grade will reflect this.  If you are absent at any point and do not help your group, you will be required to do your own project and present by yourself.

 

Be proactive and keep in contact with your team!

UC vs. CSU Project

Your task:

1. Research the differences between UCs and CSUs.
2. Create a poster that highlights the differences.
3. Make the poster presentable and colorful.
4. Present your findings to the class.

2. Reason the school system was created (strengths and purposes)
3. Major differences in their purpose.
4. Types (not a list of) degrees offered.
5. Main focus of undergraduate education.
6. Facts (students and faculty)
7. Application time periods and acceptances.
8. Preparation (if you are transferring from a community college)
9. Estimated tuition
10. Estimated housing cost

1. AVID club meeting Friday, October 2, in A2 at lunch.

2. AVID t-shirt contest design due Friday, October 9 to Ms. Mumaw's email.

3. TRF due tomorrow for first tutorial.

4. Tutorial tomorrow will be held in A2.
