The Rowland Unified School District will soon be accepting application forms for open enrollment within the district for the 2010-2011 school year. This applies only to the open enrollment for schools within the district.  If you want your child to attend another school within the Rowland District you must complete the required application form. If your child has a sibling(s) attending a school of choice you must also complete the required application form and indicate that the student has a sibling(s) attending the school of choice you are requesting. The application form will not be mailed to the homes. The form may be picked up from any school in the district or from the Pupil Services Office at 1928 S. Nogales Street.  If you want your child to continue attending their home school you do not need to fill out an open enrollment application form.  November 2, 2009 - Application form available for pick up at all schools and Pupil Services Office.  January 22, 2010 - Last day to turn in the form to Pupil Services Office.  Form must be turned in no later than 4:00 p.m. on this date. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

March 19, 2010 - Parents will be notified by mail of their "Choice" results.  April 23, 2010 - Parents must have completed and turned in all the required paperwork for registration at the school of choice or have contacted the school of choice by this date or they forfeit their choice. One application form per child must be completed. The application form will contain all of the necessary information regarding the procedures for "Choice." Transportation: Transportation to a school of choice is the responsibility of the parent. New busstops or routes will not be established to accommodate students attending a school of choice.  Transportation will be provided to students who are in a school of choice on the same fee basis as all other students in the district for an existing route.  Students will have to board the bus at specific bus stops designated for a particular school.  Remember: Applications will not be mailed, but must be picked up.  The deadline for all applications is Friday, January 22, 2010, by 4:00 p.m. in Pupils Services Office. Late applications or mailed applications received after the due date or time will not be accepted.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Rowland muy pronto estará aceptando solicitudes para matrícula abierta dentro del distrito para el año escolar 2010-2011. Esto aplica a matrícula abierta solo para asistir a otra escuela dentro del distrito de Rowland.  Si usted desea que su hijo/a asista a otra escuela en el Distrito Escolar de Rowland usted debe completar la solicitud requerida. Si su hijo/a tiene un hermano/a asistiendo una escuela por matricula abierta "Choice" tiene que llenar y completar la solicitud requerida y indicar de que tiene un hermano/a asistiendo a la escuela que esta solicitando por matricula abierta "Choice". Las solicitudes no serán enviadas por correo a los hogares. Las solicitudes pueden obtenerse en todas las escuelas del distrito o en la Oficina de Servicios para Alumnos situada en el 1928 S. Nogales.  Si usted desea que su hijo/a siga asistiendo a su escuela residencial no necesita llenar una solicitud para matrícula abierta "Choice."  2 de noviembre de 2009 - La solicitud estará disponible en todas las escuelas y en la Oficina de Servicios para Alumnos.  22 de enero de 2010 - El ultimo día para entregar la solicitud en la Oficina de Servicios para Alumnos. La solicitud será aceptada hasta las 4:00 de la tarde. NO SE ACEPTARAN SOLICITUDES DESPUES DE ESTE DIA Y HORA.  19 de marzo de 2010 - Los padres serán notificados del resultado de su solicitud Matricula Abierta "Choice" por correo.  23 de abril de 2010 - Para esta fecha los padres deben haber completado y entregado los documentos de registro para su hijo/a a la escuela solicitada por matricula abierta "Choice" o haberse comunicado con la escuela solicitada por matricula abierta "Choice" para esta fecha o pierden su derecho a la matrícula abierta "Choice." Debe llenar una solicitud por cada hijo/a que desea participar. La solicitud contiene toda la información necesaria referente al programa Matrícula Abierta "Choice."

Transportación: Transportación a la escuela solicitada por el programa Matricula Abierta "Choice" es responsabilidad de los padres. Nuevas rutas de autobús no serán establecidas para acomodar a estudiantes que asistirán a una escuela seleccionada bajo el programa Matricula Abierta "Choice."  Transportación puede ser proveída por la misma tarifa que se les cobra a los otros estudiantes del distrito en una ruta ya establecida. Los estudiantes tendrán que tomar el autobús en lugares ya asignados y establecidos para cada escuela.  Recuerde: Las solicitudes no serán enviadas por correo deben ser recogidas personalmente. La fecha de plazo para entregar la solicitud es el viernes, 22 de enero de 2010 hasta las 4:00 p.m. en la Oficina de Servicios para Alumnos. Solicitudes enviadas por correo o recibidas después del plazo no serán aceptadas.
