Nobles Defeat San Dimas 1-0 on the Road

La Puente, CA--Road games are tough no matter who the opponent or how far a team travels. Nogales Varsity Boys soccer faced this challenge on Tuesday this week and took on an inspired San Dimas High School on the road. However, despite notching another goal that turned out to be the game winner, it was the Nobles stout defense that made the difference and has continued to make the difference. The 1-0 win was their fifth shutout in seven league matches. The stingy defense has given up two goals--one to Rowland in a season opening 1-0 loss and one against San Dimas a few weeks back in a 4-1 win.

Rowland High School lost 2-1 yesterday to Covina High School and is now 5-2 in league, having suffered their first loss to Nogales last week. Nogales is now in first place with a record of 5-1-1.

The Nobles have three challenging games remaining. They host Northview Thursday, 2/5 and play Wilson at home on 2/10 and Covina away on 2/12 to finish league play.

Note: all Nogales Varsity home games start at 5pm and JV plays at 3:15pm both in the stadium.
