New Weather Monitoring System Prioritizes Student and Staff Safety
Rowland Unified School District has installed the Perry Weather Monitoring System to support the health and safety of our students and staff during outdoor activities. We have installed a weather monitoring station at Nogales High School and Rowland High School to ensure comprehensive coverage that provides accurate, real-time data for each of our schools across the district.
This system tracks temperature, air quality, humidity, and severe weather—including lightning—to help schools make informed decisions about outdoor activities. Each school has access to data from the station closest to them geographically, ensuring conditions are relevant and localized. Each school site displays their weather information on their website.
