Hello!
My name is Mrs. Ivory Pacheco. I started as a substitute teacher in 2007, and started teaching my own classroom in 2011. In 2013, I was hired here at Nogales. As a math teacher, I have taught everything from Math Review courses to Calculus BC. I grew up right here in La Puente and attended Villacorta Elementary, Giano Intermediate, and graduated from Nogales High School in 1998! From here, I went on to get my bachelor's degree from UCLA and my master's degree from Azusa Pacific University.
While at Nogales, I was heavily involved in band, and had some singing roles in a couple of drama productions, I even did winterguard one semester. At UCLA I performed in the band, colorguard, and choir.
I chose to teach math because of its extreme importance in many careers. Our students can use it to further our society in many different aspects, from health to finance to space travel.
I am best reached by e-mail. I look forward to working with your students!
