JOBS (Job Oriented Business Skills) is an introductory business course. Students are exposed to a variety of personal and business simulations and skills. Examples of units studied in the course include the electronic calculator; record keeping simulations; data entry; filing; PowerPoint; checking account simulation and personal finance. Students use computers and electronic calculators to complete assignments.
This is a lab class. As a lab class, students are given time in class to complete their assignments, and in general there is no homework. However, assignments not completed in class are assigned as homework for students who do not come in at lunch to complete their assignment. As a reminder, students need to clear all absences prior to completing missed classwork, quizzes or tests.
