Curriculum is based on self help and functional daily livings skills vocabulary development and comprehension. Transition students will practice reading and vocabulary skills using the High Point curriculum, which emphasizes creative and visual skills, as well as academic excellence.
Students will participate in a Social Skills class twice a week at this time to help develop appropriate communication and behavior skills in daily living.
Through Public Speaking, Drama, and role playing, students will learn how to engage with others and speak so as to communicate clearly and confidently.
