Part A:  Studio Work

In this course artistic understanding and expression is learned through drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, and computer graphics or video.

1. A minimum of sixteen finished pieces are to be completed in the second year.  In creating these pieces they are to concentrate on a single theme exploring its depth.
2. May participate in figure drawing lessons and produce 2 figurative studies in relation with theme.
3. Students are to focus on a theme or area of study as it relates to the artwork they are producing and explore its depth and breadth.
4. The work is to show personal growth and therefore cannot be created at the end but continually throughout the course.
5. There is to be no editing.
6. False starts and weaker work are expected at the beginning.
7. All sources must be acknowledged

Part B:  Research Workbook

1. Students are to focus on a theme or area of study as it relates to the artwork they are producing and explore its depth and breadth.
