Part A: Studio Work
In this course artistic understanding and expression is learned through drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, and computer graphics or video.
- A minimum of sixteen finished pieces are to be completed in the second year. In creating these pieces they are to concentrate on a single theme exploring its depth.
- May participate in figure drawing lessons and produce 2 figurative studies in relation with theme.
- Students are to focus on a theme or area of study as it relates to the artwork they are producing and explore its depth and breadth.
- The work is to show personal growth and therefore cannot be created at the end but continually throughout the course.
- There is to be no editing.
- False starts and weaker work are expected at the beginning.
- All sources must be acknowledged
Part B: Research Workbook
