They are a first year club and started as the "little train that could." However, after some weekly announcements and a strong recruiting effort from their adviser, Ms. Polidano, the Cancer Awareness Club took off and saw upwards of 75 students join. Now, running full force, they are in the midst of a fund raiser to fight cancer. Every 5th period teacher has been given a "Pennies for Pasta" box. Students, teachers, and staff can put their loose change in the box. The fundraiser ends Friday, April 18th. The 5th period class that raises the most money will win a Pasta Party from Olive Garden. Please look for a Pennies for Pasta box and donate your change and help support the Cancer Awareness Club.
