These classes will cover reading, writing, and speaking standards. Specific emphasis will be placed upon writing a 5-paragraph coherent essay. Standards that will be rigorously addressed this semester in this class will be in the areas of World Analysis, Fluency and Systematic Vocabulary Development, Reading Comprehension(Focus on Informational Materials), Literary Response and Analysis, Writing Strategies, Writing Applications(Genres adn Their Characteristics), Written and Oral English Language Conventions, Listening and Speaking Strategies, and Speaking Applications (Genres and Their Characteristics).
