Grading Policy:
90% - 100% = A
80% - 89% = B
70% - 79% = C
60% - 69% = D
0% - 59% = F
Every six weeks students get a letter grade which is worth 0 to 4 points: An A =4 points, a B=3 points, a C=2 points, a D=1 point, and a F=0 points. Each of these grades are worth 25% of the semester grade. The semester is broken into three six week periods and a final which is also worth 25%. The points from the three periods and the final are added up with the final for a scaled score which will give them their semester grade.
Semester grade by points:
A = 14 - 16 points/87-100%
B= 10 - 13 points/62-86%
C = 6 - 9 points/38-61%
D = 3 - 5 points/19-37%
F = 0 - 2 points/0-18%
Late Work:
Late work will be penalized 1/2 letter grade for each day late.
Extra Credit:
There will be opportunities for extra credit if all other assignments have been completed.
