Bio

This is my 10th year teaching at Nogales High School and my 12th year overall. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Cross-Cultural Education. I came to the teaching profession after spending 15 years or so working in the business world in various capacities. My work experience has helped me in understanding what skills students need to be successful in the real world. Of course, a person must combine his or her abilities with drive and determination in order to be successful. I truly believe all students have the potential to be great. One of my main goals, besides teaching course content, is to help students realize their potential, if only in a small way.

My primary role here at Nogales is Earth Science Teacher. I also coach Football and Baseball (Part-time now) and am involved in developing and adjusting the school discipline plan.. Within the classroom, my main goal is to eliminate road blocks that impede student learning. Often times students just need a little direction and some positive talk (and tough love) when it comes to getting back on track. I value the relationships I have with all of my students and am always available to talk with students, parents and staff.
