Hello, My name is Victor Rosilez and I will be your child's Geometry and Algebra II instructor for the 2018-2019 school year. As we commence our journey, I would like to share with you a little bit about myself. I was brought up locally and attended Los Altos High School ('87) in Hacienda Heights where I was active in sports (CIF Champion in Football - 1986) as well as Key Club and other various activities. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Geography (Regional Planning) from UCLA in 1993, my teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles, and my Master's Degree in Educational Policy Studies at the University of Illinois in 2006. I have been a member of the Rowland Unified School District since 1990. I served as an instructional assistant at Rorimer Elementary School during the 1990-91 school year. I then spent the next five and a half years working as an instructional assistant, ESL instructor, and GED instructor for the RUSD Adult School. In the fall of '96 I decided to transfer over to Nogales High School, where I have been instructing math students of all levels ever since. While at Nogales, I have been heavily involved not just teaching, but as a club advisor, ARE site representative, ARE Treasurer, and as a coach. I coached football for 15 years and have been the Varsity Badminton Head Coach since 1999, where we have developed numerous All-League and Academic All-League players as well as a string of sixteen consecutive years of making the playoffs. I have also assisted several other coaches and club advisors in trying to develop our youth into the leaders of tomorrow. I welcome any comments or suggestions you may have that will benefit both you and your child during the course of the school year. Educating a child takes a community approach, and I hope to get the chance to know all of you as the year progresses.
Mr. Victor Rosilez
