Mr. Clay Woodside has been teaching at Nogales High School since 1999. He was awarded a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Social Studies from California State University, San Bernardino in 1996. In 2008, Mr. Woodside earned a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. Mr. Woodside has always enjoyed teaching history, especially U.S. History, but his real passion is introducing students to the topic of Psychology. Since the 2000-2001 school year, Nogales High School has offered Psychology as an A-G elective course for 11th and 12th graders. Starting with the 2010-2011 school year, Nogales began offering an AP/IB Psychology class with Mr. Woodside at the helm. At the start of the 2011-2012 school year, Mr. Woodside began teaching Psychology exclusively and in the 2015-16 school year, he began teaching the IB Theory of Knowledge class as well. Mr. Woodside also serves as the IB Program Coordinator for Nogales High School and works with the IB Diploma candidates.
