Hi everyone,

 

I hope you are passing all of your class, because the final countdown for semester one has begun.  There are only 9 days left of each class, including a final exam, to turn in all of your missing assignments and get your grades above a D. 

 

Here is the schedule for the last 9 days of English 12A:

 

Week #15:

1. Review Macbeth I.i-iii and complete the Shakespearean Literary Terms handout.

2. Finish reading Macbeth Act I.

 

Week #16: DEAD WEEK

1. We will continue reading Macbeth, focusing on the literary significance of the the Weird Sisters and the prophecies.  Class discussions will be extremely important and attendance every day this week is essential to passing this class.  Your final essay will cover all information discussed and read in these 5 days, and there will be time in class to do your research and begin writing your essay.  The essay will have to be typed in MLA format and will be due the week of Final Exams.  There will be no excuse for absences and you will be held responsible for any information you miss if you choose to be absent.

 

Week #17: FINAL EXAMS

1. Your final essay will be due Monday, December 8, typed in MLA format.  No rough draft is required.  A Works Cited page will also be required, and we will review how to properly create a Works Cited page/cite within your essay during Dead Week.

2. Depending on the turn-in rate of essays on Monday, your Final Exam day options will vary.

 

Finals Schedule:

 

Tuesday, December 9: 1-4-7

Wednesday, December 10: 3-6

Thursday, December 11: 2-5

Friday, December 12: 3-WEEK FREEDOM
