A-G Requirements
The California State University and University of California requires the following college preparatory pattern of classes (referred to as the A-G requirements) for admission:
How Important are Grades?
- If your GPA in college preparatory courses taken in 10th through 12th grades is 3.0 or above, you meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the CSU.
- Your eligibility is also determined by your SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) and/or ACT (American College Testing) results.
- NOTE: Some CSU and UC campuses require higher GPA's and test scores for admission because the number of eligible applicants is greater than the campus can enroll.
