Students study the institutions of our American government. They compare other systems of government, analyze the historical and changing interpretations of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary branches of government. Students will analyze important historical documents. Our state standards are designed to prepare graduating students with the knowledge and skills that responsible citizens demonstrate.

 

 

 

In Special Education, we teach each subject utilizing both a comprehensive education text and supplemental special education materials, to ensure student understanding of California Content Standards. A variety of instructional strategies are used, including an emphasis on written expression, critical thinking, cooperative learning groups and the use of technology.
