World History Course Description:

 

 

 

Students will study the major turning points that have shaped our modern world, beginning in the late 18th Century through the present, including the cause, course and results of two world wars.

 

 

They will trace the developemnt of democratic ideas to aid them in understanding the historic causes of current world issues, and how they impact our world today.

 

In Special Eduaction, we teach each subject utilizing both the comprehensive education text and supplemental special education materials to ensure student understanding of the California Content standards. A variety of instructional strategies are used including: an emphasis on written expression, critical thinking, cooperative learning groups and the use of technology.
