The competition challenged the students to design and build a prototype that could solve a problem society deals with on a daily basis.
Team A; Designed a pneumatic cane that provided a solution to STS syndrome. ( Sinus tarsi syndrome (STS) is a clinical condition characterized by ongoing pain in the anterior (front) lateral (side aspect) of the ankle—between the ankle and the heel—which is usually a result of traumatic injuries.)
Team B; Spent hours designing and building a VAX Bot that would help alleviate the nurse shortage during the height of the covid pandemic.
