Dr. Robert M. Packer

Doctor Robert M. Packer served as Principal of Nogales High School 1970 – 1973. In these years, many dreams have been realized, many traditions developed, and many students proudly remember Nogales High.

1962 – 1965 Years:
Bob Packer, Physical Education Chairman, Head Varsity Football Coach, Assistant Track Coach, and Adviser of the Letterman’s Club

From the 1971 Yearbook: “In his first year as principal of Nogales, Robert Packer has done much to achieve an important goal: to keep the lines of communication open among faculty, administration, students, and parents in our community. In this way, problems that involve Nogales, on or off campus, can be solved before they become worse, and mutual understanding is fostered.”

From the 1973 Yearbook: “Bob Packer is the most visible principal in the history of Nogales High School. He can be seen on campus doing various non-administrative duties: i.e., picking up trash at lunch, assisting the Charter staff, and getting involved with common student problems. He is truly Papa of the Noble Family, having set the standards for us all and deserving the respect of all of us.”

On April 8, 2013 Dr. Robert Packer and his wife Dorothy visited our library. Library staff showed Dr. Packer our new library and took pictures. It was really nice to meet Dr. Robert Packer and his wife in person. Dr. Packer donated $200.00 to the library.
